Weekly Cleaning Checklist - scroll down for download link! |
When I first became a mostly Stay at Home Mom, I was completely overwhelmed by all the tasks that had to be done around the house. It stressed me out to know that things needed to be cleaned, but I didn't know what the priority was, when I last cleaned something, or what I should do next. It created serious mental clutter.
In order to make everything manageable, I made myself Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Cleaning Checklists and a Laundry Schedule. My theory for the weekly checklist was to cram all the cleaning into four days, then take Friday off and do meal planning and shopping on the weekend. I laminated them and used a dry erase marker to check items off as they were completed.
Once I got the hang of things, I stopped using the checklists. And then, because it is cheaper than marriage counseling, we finally hired a housekeeper once I went back to work part time.
